In case you missed the news, this summer Preston will change forever with the opening of the Keys, a nostalgic “leisure centre” packing three bars, 12 bowling lanes, an arcade, dance floor, pub-style bistro and beer garden.
Regardless of whether you’re planning to bowl or visit the arcade, the site’s “serious” food and drink – including 48 beer taps, pub meals and NY-style pizza by the slice – will make it a destination in its own right. We can say this with confidence: the owners are chef Tom Peasnell (co-owner of Dexter, Takeaway Pizza and Dom’s) and his long-time mate Jon Rowatt.
Today the duo launched a founding membership program. Members pay $160 now to get more than $600 worth of stuff once the venue opens (and in the interim, a few other goodies will be mailed out). Benefits are as follows:
We think you might like Access. For $12 a month, join our membership program to stay in the know.
SIGN UP• An invitation to the opening party at the Keys
• A bowling shirt in your size and colour (maroon or navy blue), with your name embroidered on the pocket for an extra $15
• 25 games of bowling (worth upwards of $500), valid for 12 months from opening
• Fourpack of beers: 3 Ravens x the Keys pilsner, 3 Ravens Juicy IPA, Tallboy & Moose XPA and Loveshack pale ale
• A pre-batched White Russian cocktail (just add milk) in honour of The Big Lebowski
• The Keys bottle-opener key ring
• Discounts at 3 Ravens and other friends of the Keys
While the founding membership will expire 12 months after the Keys opens, founding members will be offered early access to the Keys’ ongoing membership program, which is likely to have limited places and offer similar discounts.
The Keys will open in summer 21/22 at 1/188 Plenty Road, Preston.
