Woolworths has today announced the return of purchase limits on certain items at its Victorian stores.
A two-item limit now applies to toilet paper, hand sanitiser, paper towel, flour, sugar, pasta, mince, long-life milk, eggs and rice.
The move is in response to “significantly elevated demand” over the past 24 hours in certain parts of Melbourne. And it comes just days after the tightening of coronavirus restrictions due to outbreaks across the city.

“We’ll closely monitor demand across Victoria in the coming days and look to wind back the limits as soon as we can.”
The limits also apply to online orders.
