Reunion and Co

For Richmond locals Nicole Hateley and Darian Szyszka, there was something mysteriously appealing about this white corner-store on Bridge Road. After walking past for more than two years, they leased the old building and transformed it into Reunion and Co.

The pair created a space where people could “re-unite” in a local, convivial atmosphere, as if in their own lounge rooms. Coming from design and architecture backgrounds, Hateley and Szyszka designed the space themselves with help from Hot Black.

They kept the old-world feel of the building’s metal-pressed ceiling and stained-glass windows, while adding their own modern touches, such as exposed bulbs and exposed cement walls. The space is warm, comfortable and stylish.

The extensive menu features everything from filled bagels to burgers and house-cured trout. Coffee is from Collingwood’s Allpress.
