Four Pillars Gin Releases First Bottled Cocktail

Meet the Improved Hanky Panky.

Melbourne’s Four Pillars distillery has released its first bottled cocktail.

Shaun Byrne (of Maidenii Australian Vermouth and Melbourne bar Gin Palace) and Four Pillars’ Sam Ng (formerly of Black Pearl) combined forces to create the Improved Hanky Panky.

It combines Four Pillars Navy Strength gin that’s been aged in a Maidenii vermouth barrel, then aged again in one of Four Pillars’ old chardonnay barrels, and then batched with Maidenii sweet vermouth, Fernet-Branca and absinthe.

Four Pillars recommends serving the drink neat over ice, garnished with a couple of slices of orange.

The Improved Hanky Panky cost $32 per 200-millilitre bottle – you’ll get three cocktails out of it – or $90 for a three pack. It's available online or at the distillery.
