Sitting under the frangipani tree in Kitsch Bar’s open-air courtyard with wok-fried prawns and a house-made ginger beer cocktail, you could imagine yourself in Asia.

The menu features hot, sweet and spicy flavours, pepped up with premium ingredients and modern interpretations. Soft-shell crab in a tortilla with kimchi, or crispy-skin pork belly with chilli caramel and apple salad are examples of what to expect. Pad Thai Tuesday is a permanent fixture.

The cocktails feature fresh, zingy flavours, such as lemongrass and seasonal fruit. The wine list has a generous range of whites and reds from around Australia, plus some Spanish, Argentinian and French options, selected to suit the big-flavoured cuisine.

Like the food, the decor is bold and fun, with inspiration from around Asia. There’s seating available inside or you can pull up a chair in the open-air street-side courtyard.
