West Australian tiny cabin company Heyscape is taking remote work to a whole new level with the recent launch of its dedicated work cabins.

Located in Serpentine and the Avon Valley, the three new cabins are each around an hour’s drive from Perth – a handy addition to the company’s existing collection of luxe stays in vineyard, forest and farm settings.

Heyscape founder Pierre Sauvignon says the cabins are his way of advocating for healthier working patterns.

“We firmly believe that these tiny spaces are the breeding ground for big ideas,” Sauvignon tells Broadsheet. “Surrounding yourself with nature gives you the space to think, energy to create, and undisturbed time to build.”

He says the cabins prove that wellness and work can coexist. “Decreasing stress among employees … increases productivity [for businesses] – [it’s a] win-win situation.”

You’ll find two of the cabins (named Tim and Ashleigh) on 500-hectares of farmland in the Avon Valley, just a short drive from the historical town of Toodyay. The other one (Sam) is close enough to the waterfalls and hiking trails of Serpentine National Park for guests to visit on their lunch break. Bodhinyana Buddhist Monastery and the award-winning Millbrook Winery are also near the Serpentine property – making for some contemplative, indulgent time out.

Inside, the cabins reveal spaces designed for practicality and comfort while adhering to sustainable practices. There’s a spacious desk area with high-speed internet and USB outlets, and the kitchen comes stocked with coffee from WA specialty roasters Brother of Mine and T2 tea. Your plush queen-size bed is made up with luxury linen from environmental bedding company Eva, and the bathroom is fitted with hot rain-water showers, composting toilets, and cleaning products made with Australian essential oils from Koala Eco to keep your body and tiny home clean.

With Heyscape’s additional bunks, barbeque facilities and hammocks, it’s possible to combine a work day with a staycation for a mid-week or weekend escape. Stays start at $450 per night.
