The Vivid Sydney team is preparing to brighten up the Harbour City’s winter. From Friday May 23 to Saturday June 14, the city will be illuminated by art, music, conversation and more. And yet again, the food program is a major drawcard.
The Fire Kitchen is returning to The Goods Line, where venues set up market stalls and top chefs host flame-powered workshops. A bunch of yet-to-be-announced international chefs are jetting in for the Vivid Chef Series, ready to collaborate and pop up across Sydney. Last year, Aalia’s Paul Farag hosted Ivan Brehm, of Singapore’s Nouri; and Manu’s Manoella Buffara jetted in from Brazil to take over the Kiln kitchen.
But sure to be the sell-out event is a three-day run of dinners, curated by an adored celebrity chef and food writer: Nigella Lawson.

SIGN UPLawson’s opinion on food is, quite simply, gospel. And she loves eating around Sydney. A lot. She’s joining the Vivid team to curate a trio of dinners in Muru Giligu, the just-opened pedestrian tunnel in Martin Place.
“[Having loved Vivid] for years, it is the hugest thrill to be part of the Vivid Food program this year,” Lawson said in a statement. “I’ll be curating an exclusive menu for the three Vivid Sydney Dinners, and it is simply a dream come true. I mean, you know me: there can never be too many fairy lights!”
More details to come soon, Sydney. In the meantime, make a date with one of Lawson’s favourite venues in Sydney.
