The Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival kicked things up a notch for its second year. Twelve restaurants, 53 craft brewers, and 10 bands took over the historic cattle-shed pavilion at the Adelaide Showground for three days of meat, marinades, music and mayhem.
Organisers Marc Huber, Aaron Sandow and Gareth Lewis tripled the number of food stalls this year, with 10 local restaurants – including Africola, NOLA and Jack Ruby – firing up the grill alongside the crew from Sydney burger joint Mary’s and South Carolina pit master Rodney Scott.
A host of South Australian producers were on tap including Lady Burra Brewhouse, Pike’s Beer Company, Prancing Pony Brewery and Pirate Life. Many interstate and international makers were also in tow, pouring craft beers rarely found here.
