Sleep at the ‘G
Now in its 11th year, Sleep at the ’G is back to help raise awareness and funds for youth homelessness. Grab your sleeping bag and head to the MCG for a huge community sleepover to learn, engage and have some fun in the fundraising spirit.
For one night, Melbourne City Mission is encouraging people to get a glimpse into what 7600 young Victorians aged between 12 and 24 experience each night.
Throughout the evening, you’ll hear stories directly from young Victorians who have faced homelessness and gain insight into their struggles. There’ll also be opportunity to participate in fun activities including a fashion parade and games while enjoying live music and DJs. Plus, there are prizes up for grabs.
Currently, there are only 127 beds available each night across Victoria’s 17 youth refuges. Funds raised from the event will go towards providing supportive homes to young people facing homelessness.
Tickets cost $75 per person or $25 for children aged between 15–17 and include entry, activities and refreshments.
Register with your workplace, as a team, with your family or as a solo sleeper.
