Best Cafes in Northbridge

Up until recently, Northbridge – especially West Northbridge – didn't have much to choose from in terms of cafes. Now though, it's a different story. The cafes here are homely and comfortable, with diverse offerings, from rapper-themed toasted sandwiches to breakfast burritos.

  • A heritage building transformed from chemist to cafe, with counter salads, sandwiches and cakes.

  • These are toasties that Ghostface Killah himself approves of, that's more than enough reason to check this place out.

  • 9 years in the game, and Little Willy's brings big flavours. Besides the bread, it's all made onsite. Make sure you grab the breakfast burrito.

  • The fitout here is as eclectic as the menu.

  • Stunning cakes are the hallmark of this not-for-profit cafe.

  • Edible flowers beautify every dish at this vegetarian cafe.

  • There are only two things to buy at this little bakery: coffee and picture-perfect Portuguese custard tarts, baked fresh every 15 minutes throughout the day.

  • A tiny laneway coffee shop with a big heart. Go for standout single-origin coffee from Twin Peaks and Daylight Coffee Roasters, or try the Viennese “einspanner” coffee. Plus, flaky croissants and Holy Bagel’s perfectly doughy bagels.

  • A cafe that sells coffee, jaffles and single-speed bikes? It’s a thing.

  • Not your average toasted sandwiches.
