Next year marks the 13th anniversary of Sydney Opera House’s All About Women. Held on the weekend closest to International Women’s Day (March 8), it’s a day of panel talks and events focused on issues and ideas important to women and non-binary people. And today, the Opera House has dropped a teaser announcement of three key events taking place on March 8 and 9, 2025.
Actor and comedian Kate Berlant (Don’t Worry Darling and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) will make her Australian tour debut as a stand-up comic – with a show yet to be written. The star of Cinnamon in the Wind has been described as “magnetic” and “absurdist” by the New York Times, and as Sydney Opera House head of talks and ideas Chip Rolley says in a statement, “Everyone is in for a treat”.
Tickets for her Sunday evening show are $65 and go on sale to the public at 9am on Thursday November 28. Sydney Opera House also has pre-sale tickets for its members.

SIGN UPAlone Australia’s Gina Chick is giving a solo talk on March 9 about grief, resilience and treading her own path. She’ll also share snippets from her new book We Are the Stars: A Misfit’s Story of Love, Connection and the Glorious Power of Letting Go .
And on Saturday March 8, there’ll be a lovingly satirical Feminist Roast with Lucinda “Froomes” Price; singer-songwriter, actor and comedian Michelle Brasier; and writer, actor and director Nakkiah Lui. It’s moderated by author and comic Steph Tisdell, and as Rolley says, it’s a chance to “take the piss out of the movement we love”.
More events will be announced in the new year, put together by Rolley and his team of co-curators. This year’s A-team is journalist Narelda Jacobs OAM and actor and writer Michelle Law. “The events I’ve co-curated are inspired by hot topics that dominate conversations with the women in my life – from the transformations women undergo at pivotal points in their lives to the ways modern culture rejigs and repeats old stereotypes,” says Law in a statement.
All About Women takes place on March 8 & 9 2025 at Sydney Opera House. General public tickets are on sale at 9am on Thursday November 28.
