Como Hotels and Resorts is a Singaporean chain that runs more than a dozen hotels around the world, but only opened its first Australian outpost in October last year.

The hotel was part of the $580 million redevelopment of Perth’s historic Treasury buildings in the CBD. The project included a swag of new restaurants and bars, such as Thai restaurant Long Chim, 1950s-themed cocktail bar Halford, all-day eatery Petition Kitchen, Petition Beer Corner, Petition Wine Bar and the hotel’s elegant in-house restaurants, Wildflower and Post.

These strong amenities no doubt contributed to the goodwill surrounding the 48-room hotel, which was designed by Perth-born, Singapore-based architect Kerry Hill. You’ll pay well to experience it for yourself, though. Rooms start at $595 a night.
