Half music industry conference and half music festival, Bigsound is back for its 23rd year, and has announced its first line-up of speakers.
Amy Taylor, frontwoman with globally acclaimed Melbourne punks Amyl & the Sniffers, has been revealed as the event’s keynote speaker. Also on the program is multifaceted UK creative Elijah, a DJ, writer and co-founder of influential record label Butterz; and British A&R guru Korda Marshall.
Bigsound also serves as a breeding ground for new talent. In the past the event has played a role in launching acts such as Flume, Courtney Barnett, the Temper Trap, Gang of Youths and DMA’s. International talent scouts including Adam Ryan (The Great Escape, Lovebox and Wilderness Festival), Patrick Daniel (Reeperbahn Festival, Inferno Events) and Dev Sherlock (SXSW) will be in attendance this year.
