Something big is happening at Australia’s biggest shopping centre.
Chadstone has just unveiled plans for a new $71 million, 10,350-square-metre dining and entertainment destination called The Social Quarter, which is slated to open this summer.
There’ll be six new dining options, including a shiny new Piccolina gelateria; a multi-level eatery called Cityfields, with a woodfired, European-leaning menu by South Melbourne favourite Half Acre; and an Italian eatery called Cinque Terre.
We think you might like Access. For $12 a month, join our membership program to stay in the know.
SIGN UPA sprawling indoor-outdoor beer hall, called UA Brewing Co, will also be a feature of the development. It’ll provide sustainably focused craft beer to the entire precinct.
Entertainment-wise, there’ll be four Funlab brands. Among them: Victoria’s first Hijinx Hotel, an immersive, faux New York-style hotel that’s actually a funhouse filled with challenge rooms. Plus, Holey Moley mini golf, Strike bowling and an Archie Brothers arcade.
The precinct was designed in collaboration with leading architects Jackson Clements Burrows, Buchan, Decibel and Lat Studios.
