Bar Bellamy x Christian Kimber at Melbourne Fashion Festival

Hot-Listed wine and cocktail spot Bar Bellamy joins Woodford Reserve and local menswear designer Christian Kimber to bring a new flair to the Old Fashioned for this month’s fashion festival.

Inspired by Kimber’s classic and contemporary tailoring, the bar’s co-owner and mixologist Oska Whitehart has created two limited-edition cocktails. The Amber Stitch is bold and structured, with wattleseed, corn silk tea and beetroot bitters, while the Silken Sprig is lighter and more playful, featuring pineapple syrup, Zucca Rabarbaro amaro and caramelised milk chocolate.

“Translating Christian’s signature aesthetic into a cocktail really got our creative brains ticking,” Whitehart says in a statement. “We embraced the challenge, experimenting with textures and techniques to take the heart of an Old Fashioned and change it into something both familiar and completely new.”

Available until this Saturday, you can try both blends at Bar Bellamy or at the Woodford Reserve Fashion Bar in the Fashion Forecourt at Melbourne Fashion Festival.
