The cowboy hats were bedazzled, the shirts cropped (if worn at all), and the sequins scattered far and wide – and probably still being picked off surprising body parts today. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras returned to Oxford Street on Saturday evening – its 45th year – and Broadsheet photographer Yusuke Oba was there to capture the energy, the looks and the love.
