Known for low-impact, high-yield workouts and a training method that draws from yoga, weight training and Pilates, Core Plus is a bringing its tried and tested classes to the Sunshine State. The West End studio – Core Plus’s first franchise outside of Victoria – was opened by Victorian expats and Pilates instructors Matt and Larisa Tait.
With 22 studios across Victoria, the Core Plus methods have been met with enthusiasm in the state. In fact, the brand makes the claim that over two per cent of the Victorian population are Core Plus members, with the studio clocking up a hefty 1.2 million class visits annually. And although our southern neighbours might be wrong about a few things – calling potato scallops “potato cakes”, for example – their trust in Core Plus is well-placed.
Like its Victorian counterparts, the Brisbane studio will offer a trio of hot mat classes in Pilates, yoga flow and strength cardio, alongside more mindful yoga flow practices including hot yoga flow, warm and slow flow and warm yin flow, as well as heat-free classes and reformer classes (including pre- and post-natal reformer sessions).
