Mastercard Serve Festival at Poodle

Thu 23rd January, 2025
7:00pm – 10:30pm
81-83 Gertrude Street Fitzroy 3065
Price: $110
One of Fitzroy’s buzziest restaurants is serving up its greatest hits for one night only as part of the hot dining festival, which is back for seconds in 2025. There’ll be spanner crab profiteroles, prawn cocktails, steak tartare, frites and more.

Following the success of the inaugural Serve dining festival in early 2024, Mastercard is proud to bring it back for a second year, in partnership with Broadsheet. Serve 2025 is a two-week celebration of Melbourne’s very best in food, drink and hospitality – all as the tennis brings the city to an excited frenzy. Running from January 12 to 26, Serve once again invites Mastercard cardholders to exclusive events with the city’s top chefs and restaurants, plus 10 special food and drink offers at other venues.

Poodle is one of Fitzroy’s buzziest bistros – and it’s hosting the last of four special Serve dinners, on Thursday January 23. At $110 per person, guests can expect nothing short of the typical Poodle experience, with a menu of “zhooshed-up” European classics for Serve.

On arrival, you’ll be greeted with a glass of Voyager Estate sparkling Chenin Blanc as well as spanner crab and cod roe profiteroles. Then, in typical Poodle-style, sit down to a menu designed for sharing – including prawn cocktails with pickled celery, avocado and cucumber; house-made sourdough (with coffee grounds and rye); stracciatella with broad bean tapenade; and steak tartare with tarragon mayo and a soy cured egg yolk. Then the main attraction: Humpty Doo barramundi fillet with curry leaf, asparagus, white soy and chervil. There’ll be plenty of fries to go around, too. Just make sure to save room for dessert – a coconut semifreddo with lime and tarragon jelly.

Tickets for this priceless experience are limited and available only for Mastercard cardholders. See more details and book your seat.

You can also catch exclusive, one-off dinners as part of Serve at Atria on Thursday January 16, Circl on Friday January 17 and Yugen Dining on Tuesday January 21.

Serve Festival is produced by Broadsheet in partnership with Mastercard.
