Mastercard Serve Festival at Yugen
Following the success of the inaugural Serve dining festival in early 2024, Mastercard is proud to bring it back for a second year, in partnership with Broadsheet. Serve 2025 is a two-week celebration of Melbourne’s very best in food, drink and hospitality – all as the tennis brings the city to an excited frenzy. Running from January 12 to 26, Serve once again invites Mastercard cardholders to exclusive events with the city’s top chefs and restaurants, plus 10 special food and drink offers at other venues.
On Tuesday January 21, descend to luxe subterranean restaurant Yugen in South Yarra. Reachable only by a glass-walled elevator, you’ll be greeted by high ceilings, gold accents and a statement glass chandelier when you arrive.
For $110 per head, the intimate dinner starts with a welcome drink of Yuzu Toki Sour. As ever, the menu combines high-end Japanese with inspiration taken from other parts of Asia. For Serve, expect to dine on rock flathead with furikake, finger lime and shisho as well as baby corn with wild crispy rice, brown butter and smoked eel. For the main dish, there’s dry aged duck with black ginger and kombu dressing. And to close the night, dessert is a calamansi, almond and makrut lime meringue.
Tickets for this priceless experience are limited and available only for Mastercard cardholders. See more details and book your seat.
You can also catch exclusive, one-off dinners as part of Serve at Atria on Thursday January 16, Circl on Friday January 17 and Poodle Bar & Bistro on Thursday January 23.
Serve Festival is produced by Broadsheet in partnership with Mastercard.
